The prestigious search for beauty and brain has been the highlights of the fiesta celebration, even many years ago. The first Miss Palompon was crowned during the fiesta celebration in 1914.

VIVA SR. SAN FRANCISCO JAVIER!!! Devotees and parishioners attended the Concelebrated Pontifical Mass last December 3, 2007 during the feast day of our patron, St. Francis Xavier. Priests from other places graced the occasion.

No less than Most Reverend Jose Palma, Archbishop of Palo, was the main celebrant of the Concelebrated Pontiffical Mass last December 3. Palomponganons flocked during the procession of the century -old image of the patron saint, St. Francis Xavier, whose miraculous intervention some centuries ago, has spared Palompon from the onslaught of Moro raids in 17th century. The first fiesta in this town was celebrated last December 3, 1784, the same year, when Palompon gained its parochial independence from Hilongos, Leyte.
